Seoul
is a busy city packed with over 10 million people and the people
who live, work and play in Seoul have an endless list of things
to do outdoors. There is essentially no limit to the things you
can do in and around Seoul. Hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, hunting,
martial arts, rafting, climbing, picnics, street fairs, festivals,
concerts, boating, and beaches.

Renting
a bicycle is a wonderful ways to combine exercise and sightseeing.
Walking tours are offered throughout town. There are two golf
courses within city limits, and another 46 in the surrounding
province, but prices won't seem particularly reasonable to many
Western visitors or Koreans, which is why many Koreans leave the
country for this sport. Many health clubs have memberships based
on daily rates. Traditional Korean-style archery and the Western
form are practiced in Seoul, but archery ranges usually found
out of town.

70%
of South Korea is made up of mountains. The (very!) cold winters
and mountainous terrain around Seoul lend themselves perfectly
to skiing, and sledding. There are many resorts and clubs that
offer anything from accomodation to a great meal and a warm cup
of something. Lotte World shopping centre has year-round, indoor
ice skating; however, weekends are extremely crowded. Water sports
such as windsurfing and water skiing are possible in summer on
the Han River; paragliding is also available.
